Troy Rogers, Founder
Troy Rogers is a transformational leader with over 30 years of experience working in the criminal justice arena. Troy has worked very hard to serve his community with care and concern. Troy has been married for 25 years, has four children and two grandsons. Troy is from Knoxville, Tennessee and was raised on an HBCU campus, Knoxville College. Troy presently works for the Mayor's office and resides in the office of Community Health.
Troy's accomplishments and resume is listed below. Troy has helped build Chattanooga into one of the most sought after cities in terms of seeing how we do community. Chattanooga has been visited by some powerhouse organizations who ask the same question “ How do you frame community”? The answer has always been you have to have a commitment to building a strong foundation and giving the broken population a voice. There can be no powerful quantitative data without grass roots qualitative blood, sweat and tears.
The reentry guide is a comprehensive website and app that has all the information that a person who is returning back to society needs to be successful in all human endeavors and has all the things needed to successfully restart their life. What I hear from men/women coming home is that they are taken on a wild goose chase with information and resources and have a hard time getting services rendered.
Troy Rogers currently serves as the Public Safety Coordinator for the City of Chattanooga under Mayor Tim Kelly’s Administration. Troy studies Social Economics and how society has shaped certain urban areas. Social economics is defined as behavior based on economics and opportunity. Troy does not feel that any kids are born bad but have had to make decisions without all the resources and exposure. When Troy came to the city he began to look at the “WHY” behind crime and used a tier system that we have implemented to empower our muted census. Troy wants to encourage everyone to become social justice advocates which are” people who fight for those who can't fight for themselves”.
Mr. Rogers has published three E-books called “Social Economic Glasses, Criminal Activity in the Schools and the Poverty Brain ''. These books can be found on Amazon kindle. These books about the hidden tears of our population whose cries are un heard because of the mistakes they have made. Mr. Rogers academic portfolio is as follows: a BS in Criminal Justice and a BA in Education from the University of Chattanooga at Tennessee, a Masters of Ethics and Leadership from Johnson University, and a Masters of Science from Belhaven University located in Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Rogers is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and Alpha honors society. Mr. Rogers graduated from the Harvard Bloomberg class of Innovators in December of 2022. He will begin his PHD studies at Johnson University in January of 2025.
